The CSSS des Sommets has three residential care centres (Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Mont Tremblant and Labelle) and agreements with two intermediate resources in Mont Tremblant (Villa des Générations and Résidences du Vieux Sage).
A residential care centre is defined as accommodations where the resident is in a setting that she calls home and the family is an important partner. Respect, dignity and the individuality of each person guides interventions and decisions. All actions try to rely on listening to the expectations of everyone and are adapted to the state of health and the degree of autonomy of each.
Services provided are: animation and leisure activities, nursing care and assistance, doctors, meals and nutrition, living conditions counsellor, social services, rehabilitation (physiotherapy and occupational therapy), pastoral care and volunteers.
To access this service
The system for processing accommodation requests is carried out in four steps: evaluation of the needs of the patient, determination of the services required and referral to the appropriate resource, placement on the waiting list, and admission or registration of the patient in the permanent accommodations.
The CSSS des Sommets first evaluates the possibility of the patient remaining at home. If it is not possible to maintain her at home, the process for permanent accommodation is undertaken.
The Minister of Health and Social Services determines the costs related to the accommodations, based on the allocated room (private or semi-private), and according to the financial situation of the resident.

, the Quebec health insurance board. There you will find a simulation tool, in English, that will allow you to calculate the contribution that must be assumed by an adult admitted to long-term care in a Quebec healthcare institution.
