The goal of the prevention program is to reduce the risks of infection that patients, employees and visitors to the institution are exposed to and thus reduce the number of nosocomial infections.
What is a nosocomial infection?
This refers to an infection acquired during a period of care, wherever the care is given.
Hand washing remains the simplest and most efficient method of preventing the transmission of infections. Visitors are required to wash their hands upon arrival and departure. Dispensers of antiseptic hand rub are available everywhere within our facilities.
During your visit, it is recommended that you wash your hands:
- before every meal
- after blowing your nose
- after coughing
- after using the toilet
If you have symptoms of an infectious disease such as the flu, a cold, gastroenteritis or any other, it is preferable to avoid visiting a patient or a resident.
